How to get to Edirne by railway?

Edirne Station is the main railway station of TCDD, located southeast of the provincial centre of Edirne. The station was put into service in 1971.

The station was suspended due to the railway line renovation works started in 2013 for the train line operated by TCDD Tasimacilik between Sirkeci and Edirne, and it was put into service again on 25 July 2016 to serve between Halkali and Edirne. Due to the decrease in frequency and passenger demand due to the works on the railway line, there is 1 daily reciprocal service.

On the train line where 1 daily reciprocal service is organised, the journey time is approximately 4 hours 9 minutes. The train fare between Istanbul-Edirne has been determined as 190₺ as of September 2023.
