The Justice Pavilion, the only surviving building of the Edirne Palace, was built by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in 1561 by Mimar Sinan. It has four floors including the ground floor and a pool with a marble fountain on the upper floor. In its period, it was used as the Divan-ı Hümayun (Council of Ministers) and the Court of Cassation. According to the rumour, Sultan Süleyman wrote the laws of the empire here.
