The most famous neighbourhood of Edirne, called Ayşe Kadın, still bears the name of its founder Ayşe Hatun, daughter of Çelebi Mehmet. It is located on Düz Kaldırım Street on the old Istanbul road in Ayşe Kadın neighbourhood. It was built by Ayşe Hatun, daughter of Çelebi Sultan Mehmet, in 1468. Ayşe Kadın Hatun, who built this work, endowed nine shops and a bathhouse in Hayrabolu, ten shops and a bathhouse in Skopje and Zekeriya Village of Yarhisar.
