Church of St Ioannes +

It was built in 1875 and is a Greek Orthodox church. The church was located in a large garden with other buildings. The façade has a monumental entrance with three windows and another door providing an extra entrance. Above, there is a slightly protruding balcony and two windows on either side which have been altered. There are intensely used palmettes as an ornamental element on the door and window tops. The timber-covered upper floor of the building has been altered, but the originality of the lower floor has been preserved. The building shows a basilica plan with a passage to the upper floor galleries, of which there are not many examples, with the extension of the west side. Internally, the building was constructed as a basilica with three naves. The narthex, which is entered from the west, consists of a door and four windows. The windows are slightly raised from the inside and later closed with infill. The door has a wooden insutu appearance. As understood from the square inscription on the door on the west façade, the building was dedicated to Ionnes Prodromos. The building is built of irregular cut stone and brick beams were used in places. The building is covered with a flat roof and sloped on both sides.

The phenomenon that brings the building closer to the Bulgarian Orthodox churches in Edirne and gives it a different characteristic is the fact that the narthex is not confined to the same level with the side naves, but wraps around 1/3 of the side naves in a "U" shape by making chamfered corners. In the interior of the church, it is possible to observe the interior appearance of a typical basilica. The main space, excluding the apse, is 12.20 m. long and 12 m. wide, close to a square plan.
