Cihannüma Pavilion +

The most important structure of Edirne New Palace (Saray-ı Cedid-i Amire) is Cihannüma Pavilion. The pavilion, which is the most published structure of the palace, was built by Mehmet II. Cihannüma Pavilion is also known as Hane-i Hassa, Kasr-ı Padişahi, Taht-ı Hümayun, Kasr-ı Ali, Has Oda Köşkü, Has Hazine, Mabeyn-i Hümayun Dairesi. The pavilion, which is stated to have seven storeys in sources and publications, has lost its original condition to a great extent today. In the six-line inscription written in two columns on a marble slab, which is known to exist on the entrance door of the building, but is no longer extant, it is stated that the Cihannüma Pavilion was built by Mehmet II.
