Edirne Castle Macedonia Clock Tower is one of the towers at the four corners of the walls surrounding Hadrianopolis, founded by the Roman King Hadrian. After Hacı İzzet Pasha, one of the governors of Edirne, built wooden floors and clocks on the tower, this place (1866-1867) became known as the Clock Tower. The clock here was also called the Millet Clock for a long time. The Macedonia Tower and its surroundings, which is the only structure that survived from the towers of the city walls surrounding the city, was opened as an 'Urban Archaeology Park' after the excavation.
