  1. Lightly roast the coarsely ground or whole almonds in a pan. Add one cup of flour on it and continue roasting over low heat until the colour turns. After roasting, put it in a large bowl and leave it to cool.
  2. After the almonds cool down, add icing sugar, baking powder, oil, vanilla and egg white into a large kneading bowl. Knead well. Your dough should not stick to your hands and should have the consistency of an earlobe.
  3. Roll out the dough on the countertop with the help of a rolling pin, about 1 finger thick. If you have half-moon shaped moulds, you can use them to shape the dough. If you don't have any, shape it into a half-moon shape with the help of a water glass.
  4. Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven. Be careful to bake until the cookies turn golden yellow.
  5. Leave the cookies out of the oven to cool. After cooling, you can sprinkle powdered sugar on them and serve.
