Meric and Tunca Rivers 

Meriç and Tunca Rivers are the two most important rivers of Edirne, known as the "city of waters". There are promenade areas and recreational facilities around these rivers. The Evros River originates from Bulgaria and enters our country through the borders of Edirne and forms a part of our border with Greece. The promenade areas in Karaağaç, which is reached by crossing the Meriç Bridge over the river, are integrated with the river.
