HIZLI MENÜ
Mezitbey (Yeşilce) Mosque +

The building was built by a person named Mezid Bey in 1442. The imaret next to it has not survived to the present day. Located in a large garden, the mosque has an inverted T plan called zaviyeli or tabhaneli. Some parts of the mosque were built with rubble, some parts with alternating stones and some parts with smooth cut stones. The mosque is covered with a total of four domes, two domes in the qibla direction and two domes on the lower side wings. Four windows were opened in two rows on the two side and qibla facades of the mihrab hall. Two windows were opened on the qibla facades of the side wings and one lower window on the side facades. On the northwest façade, one window was opened on each side. There is a crown door in the centre of the facade. The door is framed with mouldings, chamfered with columns, has a marble jamb in a pointed arched niche and a flat arch. There is a four-line inscription on the flat arch. On the façade, there is a brick-built mitigation arch hitting the door. There is a minaret in the west corner of the building. Since the original minaret was covered with green tiles, the mosque was named Yeşilce.
This tiled minaret has not survived to the present day. The existing minaret was built in classical Ottoman style with smooth cut stone. The harim has a rectangular plan extending in the qibla direction. The dome in front of the mihrab is transitioned with a simple pendant while the one behind is transitioned with a muqarnas-filled pendant. A pointed arch carries the load of the domes in the center of the harim. The mihrab, surrounded by moldings, has a muqarnas and a pediment consisting of rumis. The walls of the tabhane units on the sides were removed and combined with the harim. In the tabhane wing at the northern corner of the mosque, the dome is crossed by prismatic triangles, while in the other it is crossed by trumpets. Both wings have a hearth in the center of the qibla wall.
