WHAT TO DO IN EDIRNE?
SELIMIYE ARASTASI

Murat III had it built by the architect Davut Aga to provide income for the Selimiye Mosque. It is 256 meters long and has 73 arches. There are 124 shops on both sides. Evliya Çelebi writes that this is the 'Kavaflar Bazaar'. In the prayer dome, it is stated that every morning those who have shops here swear that they will do the right business and pray.
